Overview:
==============================================================================

Global anthropogenic emissions from the Community Emissions Data System (CEDS)
inventory. Emission species include aerosol (BC, OC) and aerosol precursor and
reactive compounds (SO2, NO, N2O, NH3, CH4, CO, NMVOC) and CO2.

Original data were downloaded from https://data.pnnl.gov/dataset/CEDS-4-21-21
and were processed for GEOS-Chem. The processing scripts can be found in the
scripts/ subdirectory. 

Note that data for the periods 1750-1799, 1800-1849, 1850-1899, 1900-1949,
1950-1999, and 2000-2019 were acquired and split up into individual years.
In addition, the times in the CEDS emissions files were adjusted so that dates
are on the 1st of the month instead of the 15th/16th.
