Overview:

This directory contains the annual and monthly mean oceanic exchange data
from Takahashi et al.  These are used for the GEOS-Chem CO2 simulation.

The data files were originally in binary punch (bpch) format and used to 
reside in the older data directory: GEOS_2x2.5/CO2_200508/.

Christoph Keller converted these data files to COARDS-Compliant netCDF
for compatibility with HEMCO.

Ocean_CO2.nc

 -- Annual mean CO2 ocean exchange from Takahashi et al (1997).
    This corresponds to a "generic" year.

    Resolution  : GEOS-Chem 2 x 2.5 grid
    Units       : kg m-2 s-1
    Timestamps  : 2000/01
    Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1)


Taka2009_CO2_Annual.nc

 -- Annual mean CO2 ocean exchange from Takahashi et al (2009).
    
    Resolution  : GEOS-Chem 2 x 2.5 grid
    Units       : kg m-2 s-1
    Timestamps  : 2000/01
    Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1)
