README -- Contents of HEMCO/DUST_DEAD/v2019-06 directory 13 Jun 2019 GEOS-Chem Support Team geos-chem-support@g.harvard.edu Overview: =============================================================================== This directory contains a subset of files copied from directory DUST_DEAD/v2014-07 and transformed for compatibility with the MAPL library used in GCHP. Changes include (1) the longitude dimension is stored as floating point rather than integer, and (2) the seconds entry in the units of the time dimension is 00 rather than 0.0. Files: =============================================================================== Christoph Keller created the original COARDS-compliant netCDF files from the binary punch files in the prior dust_200605/ data directory path. (1) GOCART_src_fn.geos.2x25.nc : GOCART dust source function Resolution : 2 x 2.5 Units : 1 (aka unitless) Timestamp : 1985/01/01 Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1) (2) GOCART_src_fn.geos.4x5.nc : GOCART dust source function Resolution : 2 x 2.5 Units : 1 (aka unitless) Timestamp : 1985/01/01 Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1) (3) dst_tibds.geos.2x25.nc : Time-independent data for the DEAD emissions Originally created by Duncan Fairlie. Resolution : 2 x 2.5 Units : 1 (aka unitless); count Timestamp : 1985/01/01 Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1) (4) dst_tibds.geos.4x5.nc : Time-independent data for the DEAD emissions Originally created by Duncan Fairlie. Resolution : 4 x 5 Units : 1 (aka unitless); count Timestamp : 1985/01/01 Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1) (5) dst_tvbds.geos.2x25.nc : Time-varying data for the DEAD emissions Originally created by Duncan Fairlie.
