This folder contains scripts and data files for GFED-4. 
Script gfed4.pro is the original IDL script prepared by Prasad Kasibhatla to convert the original GFED-4 hdf5 source files into bpch format. I updated it so that it now writes into netCDF instead of bpch-format.
Script gfed4.sh is a wrapper script to prepare and merge the GFED-4 files. It creates the netCDF files used by HEMCO.
