README -- Describes contents of HEMCO/MERCURY/v2014-09/NEI2005 directory 16 Mar 2015 GEOS-Chem Support Team geos-chem-support@g.harvard.edu Overview: =============================================================================== This directory contains the NEI2005/NPRI 2005 emissions of mercury, which are used by the GEOS-Chem mercury simulation. Files: =============================================================================== NEI2005.geos5.4x5.nc -- GEIA 2005 global emission inventories (4x5) with NEI2005 and NPRI2005 emission inventories embedded. Note, we don't care the emission values outside the North American model domain in this set of files. Because we first read a global emission inventory, then we update the emission in the North American domain. Original data file: GEOS_4x5/mercury_201203/NEI2005_NPRI2005* Converted to COARDS-compliant netCDF by Christoph Keller. Resolution : GEOS-Chem 4 x 5 grid (72 x 46 boxes) Units : kg/m2/s (aka "unitless") Timestamp : 2005/01/01 Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1) CFPP_NEI2005_NPRI2005_Hg2.geos5.2x25.2005.nc -- Hg2 emission from coal fired power plants in US and Canada in 2005.
