Mercury emissions inventory from Streets et al. (2019)

Annual emissions from 2000-2015 for Hg0, Hg2, and HgP.

Estimate of the amount of Hg released into the global atmosphere by human activities, annually for the six years in the period 2010–2015 and the year 2000.
The methodology follows previous work on long-term Hg emission trends (Streets et al. 2011, 2017; 2018; Horowitz et al., 2014), with updates to emission factors and source characterizations.
Emissions calculated for 17 world regions and 17 source categories.
Compiled from four different source types: (a) fossil-fuel combustion; (b) industrial metals production; (c) artisanal and small-scale gold mining; (d) production and uses of Hg in commercial products.
Years 2001-2009 are a linear interpolation of years 2000 and 2010.
