Files in this folder that begin with prefix "conserved" were generated
by python package xESMF. These weight files are reused by xESMF for regridding.

All other files in the folder were generated using two command line tools:

1. gridspec (https://github.com/LiamBindle/gridspec, version 0.1.0)

2. ESMF_RegridWeightGen (https://earthsystemmodeling.org/, version 8.1.0)

The gridspec tool creates files describing a single grid. The ESMF_RegridWeightGen
tool creates weight files for regridding between two grids. The weight files can
be used for regridding with python package sparselt
(https://github.com/LiamBindle/sparselt).
