README -- Describes contents of GEOSCHEM_RESTARTS/

This directory contains netCDF restart files that can be used to initialize
GEOS-Chem simulations.

The GC_Y.X.Z directories contain restart file from 1-year or longer benchmark
simulations. Please see the README files within for more details. These restart
files can be used to initialize full-chemistry simulations.

The vYYYY-MM directories contain restart files for various specialty
simulations. In many cases, restart files have been provided by the
by developers of those simulations. Please see the README files within
for more details.
