MELD2x25                   : Day of week scale factors for GEIA emissions

merge_nobiofuels.geos.2x25 : 1985 baseline fossil fuel emissions for species
			      NOx, CO, ALK4, ACET, MEK, ALD2, PRPE, C3H8, 
			      C2H6, ETHE, SOx, on the GEOS-CHEM 2 x 2.5 grid.

MELD1x1 is ASCII Format
merge_nobiofuels.geos.2x25 is binary punch format

The fossil fuel emissions were created by IDL program

	~bmy/IDL/regrid/regrid_geia.pro

using raw data from the file:

   ~bmy/archive/data/fossil_200104/1x1_gen/merge_nobiofuels.1x1_STD_SASS.gz.

which was originally compiled by Amanda Staudt.  Emissions come from the GEIA
and Piccot inventories.  Ask Jennifer Logan (jal@io.harvard.edu) for more 
information.  


Notes:
------
(1) The files in fossil_200104 are meant to be used with the biomass burning
    files in biomass_200104 (or higher) and the biofuel files in 
    biofuel_200104 (or higher).  The fossil fuel files in fossil_200104 have
    been adjusted to remove biofuel contributions, since these biofuel
    emissions are now stored in biofuel_200104.

(2) The 1 x 1 emissions data also are available in binary punch file format.
    This may be easier to deal with than the ASCII file.
