BCOC/BCOC_anthsrce.YYYY.geos.2x25 : Monthly black carbon and organic carbon
                                    emissions [kg] from anthropogenic
                                    sources. Available on the generic 1x1
                                    grid.

BCOC/BCOC_biofuel.YYYY.geos.2x25  : Monthly black carbon and organic carbon
                                    emissions [kg] from biofuel burning.
                                    Available on the generic 1x1 grid.


NOTES:

 Emissions are from the following sources:

    SO2/NOx between 1890-1990 - EDGAR HYDE (van Aardenne et al., 2001)
    SO2/NOx 2000              - EDGAR 3.2 FT (Olivier and Berdowski, 2001:
                                Global emissions sources and sinks in "The
                                Climate System")
    BC/POA  between 1850-2000 - Bond et al. 2007 

 Future emissions of SO2, NOx, BC, and POA (2010 to 2050) were calculated by
 applying regional scale factors to emissions for year 2000. Scale factors
 follow the IPCC A1B scenario as implemented by Streets et al. (2004).
