Overview:

This directory contains a country ID file, in which each country is assigned
a certain ID code (according to the ISO-ALPHA-3 standard).  HEMCO can use 
these country ID's to assign country-level scale factors for emissions.


Files:

country_id_0.1x0.1.nc 

 -- Contains country ID numbers (according to the ISO ALPHA-3 standard).
    For a list of codes by country, see: 
    http://www.nationsonline.org/oneworld/country_code_list.htm 

    The surface area of each grid box is also included in this file.

    Resolution  : 0.1 x 0.1 degrees (3600 x 1800 boxes)
    Units       : 1 (aka "unitless"
    Timestamp   : 2000/01/01
    Compression : Level 1 (e.g. nccopy -d1)


How the file was created:
===============================================================================

The scripts and raw data used to create the country_id_0.1x0.1.nc file
are contained in the TARBALL file HEMCO/ROOT/raw_data/COUNTRY_ID.tar.gz.
