Contains offline lightning flash densities and convective-cloud depths calculated
at the native GEOS-FP meteorology resolution. The simulated climatology is  
constrained to the LIS/OTD satellite product. Calculation is identical to the
former online calculation, but performed at the native resolution.

As before, GEOS-FP lightning will need periodic updates due to its limited
temporal availabilty for calculating climatological constraints. Note that lightning
is higher over the period 2014-2016 than 2017-2019, likely due to a change in the 
GEOS-DAS operational code base. MERRA-2 does not see this shift.

Version 2020-03 includes flash densities calculated through Dec 31, 2019.
